IPMA-InMA 2013: It’s Judging Time!

The Indonesia Print Media Awards (IPMA) and Inhouse Print Media Awards (InMA) 2013 is in the judging phase now. This week, begun on Monday (21/01/2013), the judges give their valuations to thousands of the participants to choose the winner. The awarding night will be held on Friday (8/02/2013) in Manado.

Until the last registration day to participate in the print media covers competition, Friday (18/01/2013), the comittee had accepted 692 entries for IPMA and 162 entries for InMA. Those are beyond the target set by the comitte before. They estimated, the events will be followed by less participants; 600 for IPMA and 100 for InMA.

This year, the comittee has chosen five judges for each competitions. IPMA presents five judges; Richie Wirjan (DM-Idholland), Oscar Motuloh (Head/ Curator Antara Journalism Photo Gallery), Ndang Sutisna (ECO - EURO RSCG Adwork), Prof. DR. Ibn Hamad (Faculty of Sosial and Political Sciences University of Indonesia), andTroy Pantow (Corporate Communication Director PT Tirta Investama Danone Aqua).

While for InMa, there are  Richie Wirjan (DM-Idholland), Oscar Motuloh (Head of Antara Journalistic Photos Galery), Ndang Sutisna CO – Adwork EURO RSCG), Prof. Dr. Ibnu Hamad (Faculty of Sosial and Political Sciences University of Indonesia), and Dian Umar Anggraini (PR Consultant).  

There are some aspects evaluated in both competitions, such as the uniqueness in delivering the news and its balance with the headline, and also the other graphic design components such as composition of the colors, shapes, and lay out appear in the covers.***
