Tomorrow, Dahlan Iskan will open the SPS Rakernas in Pekanbaru

Riauterkini-PEKANBARU-State Enterprises Minister, Dahlan Iskan, will open the Meeting of the Rapat Kerja Nasional Serikat Perusahaan Pers (Rakernas SPS) Friday (13/7) at the Pangeran Hotel, Pekanbaru.

Dahlan Iskan – Chairman of the SPS Pusat planned to be landing at Sultan Sharif Qasim II on Friday at 12:20, to open a National Workshop at noon, followed by a National Seminar titled, "Policy Implementation in the Region MP3I Sumatra. In this seminar, Dahlan as well as a keynote speaker, "said Chairman of the SPS Riau Branch, H. Syafriadi, SH, MH via a press release on Wednesday (11/7). These four governors in the seminar are the Governor of South Sumatra, Jambi Governor, the Governor of North Sumatra and West Sumatra Governor.

SPS National Workshop which held from Friday to Saturday, filled with seminars on MP3I  and also with a national seminar titled "Towards Standardization of Corporate Press" with speakers Bambang Harymurti (Vice-Chairman of the Press Council), Endy Subiantoro (Director of Business Development of Indonesia), H . Darlis Sofyan (Deputy General Leader Singgalang Daily), Hery Hernawan (Tempo Magazine Marketing Director), legiman Misdiyono (Toll Tabloid Director), Shamsuddin Sutarto Hadi (Head of Members SPS Pusat).

Syafriadi explained, Rakernas SPS is one period of stewardship activities conducted at least once in four years. In addition to SPS followed by the entire Board of the SPS Pusat, and National Workshop was attended by around 150 people throughout the Indonesian press figures, they are the heads of SPS branches and media leaders, including members of the SPS from Riau Province. "For two days the participants will attend a series of activities that are fairly solid, include a dinner by the Governor of Riau on the County Hall at Friday night," said Syafriadi.

This Rakernas, continued Syafriadi, will be assembled with Media CEO Conference. Syafriadi was expecting, Rakernas SPS in 2012 will produce some recommendations related to the activities that already planned by the SPS Center and the  press company especially with the matter of press company standardization. Because, as it happens now, since the UU no. 40 which published in 1999, the press are  growing by following the dynamics society and develop society. "Before the law was born, its not that easy to publish a media, the media should get SIUPP from The Minister of Information. Now, after the SIUPP has been removed, lots of people interested to move into the publishing industry, because it does not need permission anymore. Standarization of Company and press conference of CEO media should give some recommendations that can be used as a reference by the Press Council to make regulations related to the press companies, "said Syafriadi.

In conjunction with this SPS Rakernas, the SPS Pusat will also give awards for the fulfillment of Palembang Charter to the SPS member, and the award for the Sahabat Pers and also awards for press figures. "Riau are very grateful to SPS Pusat for trusting Riau as the host. The trust is very useful for the development of the press in Riau," said Syafriadi. *** (RLS)
