2nd FEKSI 2013 at Makassar!

Jakarta (April, 3^rd). After the first successfull Creative Economy Festival (FEKSI) for senior high school students in Manado, now FEKSI is back in Makassar. This event will be held on 9 April 2013, located in Baruga Telkomsel Building, A.P. Pettarani Boulevard No.3.

 Makassar is the second city to be visited for this debate competition. The next cities that will be followed on this April are Palembang (16 April), Pekanbaru (23 April), Balikpapan (26 April), and Medan (30 April).

FEKSI is a collaboration program between Center of The Union of Press (SPS) and Ministry of Trade. This program will held debate competition abotu creative economy. The participants are Makassar’s senior high school students. The purpose of this competition is to introduce about creative economy, to encourage the spirit of enterpreneurship, and to increase the passion of reading.

Executive Directof of SPS, Asmono Wikan, who is also responsible for this competition said, the best debate team from each city will be chosen to take to Jakarta.

“They will compete again in the grand final with Minister of Trade. The event will be held on early November 2013,” said Asmono.

Furthermore, Asmono said that every FEKSI debate competitors will get certificate and meals during the competition. For the big 10, they will get souvenir, too. And for the big three, they will get trophy and money.

 “Because of that, we urge you to register. Until today (Wednesday, 3 April), there are 20 teams are registered.

Beside debate competition, FEKSI 2013 also held writing article competition. It is opened for every senior high school students in all over Indonesia. There are three juries, they are Dr. Iqbal Sultan (Head of Public Relation of Universitas Hassanudin), Jovwy Kumala (Head Corporate Communication of Telkomsel in Pamasuka district), and Syam Faisal (Editor in Chief of Harian Pagi Fajar).
